EPISODE INFORMATION
There have been many anime that have attempted to install fairy tales into their story lines, but none have done it quite like Ookami-San. The use of the high school and intertwining city setting is done remarkably well, but Jahmere and Mike could not come to an agreement on the execution of the story.
The characters were all well and good and the english dub isn't terrible, but for a 13 episode show that wanted to call itself an action series, there wasn't that much action until the last 2-3 of them. Jahmere also felt that that Ryouko's character was a bit confusing in her execution, and found himself questioning the entire storyline as a result.
You could do far worse in this department of anime, but J.C. staff (the animation staff for this show) already animated a tiny little gem called Toradora that we'd much rather recommend. Ookami-San is a lighthearted yet poorly executed piece of generic fluff and REALLY needed a second season to help flesh it out. Watch it if you have time to spare on a rainy day.
