Discussion:

What was the first anime you truly loved? What drew you to this show?

AW: Ronin Warriors.

Chris: There are many titles that I enjoyed when I got my “Start” in anime (I’d mention Ranma ½ and Ninja Scroll as stand outs), but the first time I saw “Project A-Ko” back in the day on the Sci-FI channel cemented the fact I was going to be an anime fan.  The over the top action, the alternate story sensibilities, and the sheer difference between this cartoon and the ones I grew up with made this something I wanted to pursue and learn more about.
Jack: As the gal who saw Sailor Moon & Cardcaptors & wanted to dress up as Queen Beryl instead of the heroines, I knew I was different. So…my big introduction was ushered in by Hellsing, Vampire Hunter D, Black Blood Brothers…The vampire thing is merely coincidence. I watched Inuyasha & Eva on Toonami Like everyone else…But then I drifted away from all.that noise.
My “reawakening” was in late high school years, with stuff like Soul Eater, Ouran, Cromartie, Cuticle Detective Inaba & Hellsing ultimate. Making me into the thing I have become today. Yee.
Djm: Just my own. Teknoman from UPN Kids. I didn’t like Dragon Ball or Sailor Moon, and Transformers Gen 1 left me kinda meh. But Teknoman totally blew me away. Yes, the show I liked was a sci-fi space show with mechs. Shut. Up.

Takeaway (plugging time!):
