SYNOPSIS
A class full of bonafide idiots attempt to turn their school upside down by battling the other classes in the school for respect through “Summoner Test Wars.” Though the premise for the show seems like one of those (“Well it looked good on paper”) ideas, that’s exactly the reason why you should watch it, it’s a fresh premise to one of anime’s best genres.

The show isn’t completely without it’s faults though. Their are times when the jokes came across a bit flat, the story itself doesn’t really get fleshed out that much, and Kouta can be a bit annoying at times, but Baka & Test is worth a viewing if you just want something to watch to past the time and make you laugh.

When a fight breaks out at Fumizuki Academy, nobody throws a single punch. Instead, the students utilize the school’s technology to summon Avatars, pint-sized stand-ins with battle powers based on academic ability. That “academic ability” part is bad news for Yoshii: he’s an idiot, stuck in lowly Class F with the slackers. If these misfits want to escape their dump of a classroom and earn some respect, they’ll have to fight their way up the ranks and take on Class A, the Academy’s brightest students. It’s going to be tough, that’s for sure, but once the underachievers of Class F get motivated, they don’t give up – and Yoshii can’t even spell surrender!
