SYNOPSIS
Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 is show that has nothing to do with Bubblegum. And in the first 10 episodes, 2 Guys and a Mic was pretty sure it didn’t have anything to do with a story either. As the show crawled along at a slow pace, and seemed like generic monster of the week material until the 11th or 12th episode.

Fortunately, the 13th episode reveals some startling facts about the series story as a whole and finally fills the viewers in on exactly what is going on. The result is a show whose story is difficult to understand or care about, but leaves the viewer wondering whats going to happen next. In addition to the great character and mech designs (Japanese Guile anyone?) Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 is a great show for those who saw the original 1987 Bubblegum Crisis and wants to see what Tokyo 2040 does different.

PRODUCER NOTE:
Bubblegum Crash was not the prequel to Tokyo 2040, the prequel was called Bubblegum Crisis.
