Tokyopop Lays Off Staffers
With the recent rash of firings in the manga community, top distributor Tokyopop has added to its layoffs by eight. They site low sales as the cause. This comes after a recent restructuring of the company in June that saw 39 employees released from the company. Marc Pavia, Marketing Director for the company also announced that upcoming releases would be spread out as a result of the economic downturn.
