SYNOPSIS
Having been rescued from the burning, rotting corpse of Tokyopop, Initial D shines like a freshly washed car in FUNImation’s skillful hands. Long gone are the days of “surfer dude” talk, and horrible attempts at americanization. By doing this Initial D, becomes one of FUNImation’s best shows, boasting a killer head thumping soundtrack and edge of your seat action. The races are portrayed in stunning fashion, with nice looking CGI graphics and the racers are all human with their own reasons for trying to be the best on the mountain. Initial D is not just about the races however, characters are presented as actually being human and not just all about racing. Relationships are formed and races are had, but the series still manages to be really dramatic. All in all, this is one of animes best racing series and should be watched and enjoyed by all.
