It’s all about One Piece this week as we set our sights on the Grand Line and the cast of the infamous Straw Hat Crew. We feature a rare interview with Colleen Clinkenbeard, Sonny Strait, Mike McFarland and Justin Cook. They talk about life in the industry as well as what it was like to work on One Piece. We also have a discussion with the guys at the One Piece at a Time Blog about the past present and future of the series.

Introduction (0:00 – 2:10)
Anime3000.com is dedicated to promoting anime and its fans. We do this by creating a platform for anime bloggers and podcasters to host articles, segments, audio clips and video. As we grow as a company, we hope to open more doors for content creators.
Interview with FUNimation One Piece Cast and Crew (2:10 – 8:08)
I pulled the audio from an interview I did with the cast and crew from FUNimation’s version of One Piece. Colleen Clinkenbeard is the voice of Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece), Rachel Moore (Case Closed) and Riza Hawkeye (Fullmetal Alchemist). She is also a ADR Director, Line Producer and writer at FUNimation. Sonny Strait plays Usopp on One Piece as well as Krillin on DBZ. Mike McFarland plays Buggy the Clown and Eyelash the Camel as well as serving as a line producer and ADR for the show. He is well known for voicing both Master Roshi and Yajirobe in Dragonball Z. Justin Cook is literally a producer on every title at FUNimation. He is well known as the voice of Yuske on Yu Yu Hakusho. In addition to being a producer on One Piece, he is also the voice of Bellamy.
One Piece Season Three, First Voyage (8:08 – 8:44)
We’ve included a promo for FUNimation’s latest DVD of the One Piece franchise. Make sure you are picking them up if you’re a fan of the series.
One Piece Manga and Anime Discussion (8:44 – 33:14)
We have a conversation with Mikey and Superneku from the One Piece at a Time Blog. The point of this conversation is to address the growing concerns of former One Piece fans. We compared the failures of the the 4kids dub and the unsuccessful launch of television licensing of the series. FUNimation is applauded for their attempts at rebuilding the fanbase through their streaming site and DVD releases. We also give a cliff notes version of a One Piece synopsis.
Closing Remarks (33:14 – 35:22)
If you want to contribute to the site, please send us an email at contact [at] anime3000 dot com. We would love to feature your work on a future episode of the Bonus Round. While we love emailing former guests and inviting them to participate in segments, our rolodex is only so big. We would also love to hear feedback. It’s annoying doing twenty plus episodes, only to find out I could be doing something a little differently to make a big difference. If you think the show is just ok, then give us some suggestions to make it your favorite podcast. If you can’t stand us, then I doubt you are listening in the first place. If you think we are doing a fantastic job, then help support us by giving us a small donation. Even if you want to give us a dollar an episode, any little bit helps us pay for our server and hopefully our staff.
