Believing that it’d be a sin of monumental proportions to not include a Satoshi Kon film in the 15 weeks of Monday Movie madness, Jahmere tok it upon himself to add in Perfect Blue, but Mike dismissed it and instead we get Paprika. Which is all the more reason to watch all of Satoshi Kon’s films. Because, regardless of story, all of Satoshi Kon’s films make you ask “What in the hell was that?” at least once per film. The films connection to Christopher Nolan’s “Inception” are discussed, Sean Bean’s habit of dying in all of his movies is made fun of, and what would happen if Freddy Kruger had a DC Mini.
