SYNOPSIS
We have fond memories of TOONAMI. Rushing home from school every day to watch our favorite shows such as Rurouni Kenshin, Gundam Wing, and even Samurai Jack. There was nothing else on at the time that matched the level of content and the sheer amount of epic presentation that came from TOONAMI.
During the podcast we go over various facets of the block. From the shows that we liked and disliked over TOONAMI’s eleven year history, to whether or not we even want to see it come back. Does it need to? Or have people moved on? One things for sure: Jahmere Durham hasn’t.
TOONAMI was more than just an action cartoon block. It was, in many ways, some peoples entire childhoods. When CartoonNetwork decided to pull the plug on the beloved block in September of 2008, they not only destroyed CartoonNetwork, but a lot of peoples childhoods as well. But rest assured TOONAMI faithful, all is not lost.
