SYNOPSIS
In the mount rushmore of anime’s manliest men, which include the likes of Kenshiro from FOTNS, Guts from Berserk, and plenty of other respectable names, there is a man that doesn’t quite get the credit he deserves….and the man is Bean Bandit. Riding Bean is a 1980’s OVA that is awesome not only for its action, but for it’s wasted potential. Had talks not fallen out with manga series creator Kenichi Sonada and the publisher, we could have been looking at an entire series of what may have been one of the most action packed shows to come out since before Black Lagoon. Sadly we are left with 4 manga volumes and this stunning 40 minute OVA. Pay the money, buy it, watch it with friends, enjoy it.
