Ga Rei Zero is a tale of love, pain, never ending sacrifice, and explores the depths a person is willing to go to save someone they love. It is at times both sad to watch and also funny to look at as you find yourself drawn into the world of these characters and find yourself going into the next episode, if for anything, to see the conclusion of the story.

SYNOPSIS
A action filled albeit suprise twist ending first episode will throw most viewers off and will either cause them to drop the series altogether or continue watching to see where the story ends. The main character is at times likable (although she cries way too much) and the villian can even garner a sympathetic tear from a person or two. But at it’s core, Ga Rei Zero is a tale of love and the undying bond shared between two people.

So the question is begged: “Will you kill someone you love, because of love?”

Kagura and Yomi may look like ordinary school girls as they walk the streets of Tokyo clad in short skirts and knee-high socks, but they’re the heroes you scream for when monsters creep out of the darkness. These sword-totting sisters are part of an elite counterattack unit that specializes in suppressing outbreaks of supernatural activity. They train together, live together, eat together, and spend their nights disemboweling demons with sacred blades. Tragedy strikes when Yomi is possessed by a dark spirit, and Kagura must choose between raising her weapon against the eerily familiar face of ultimate evil – or watching her flesh and blood slaughter innocent citizens. In a life or death battle that pits sister against sister, survival may be the greatest agony of all.
