SYNOPSIS
Initial D continues to be a great series, both in it’s storytelling and execution. The series balances races well with the ongoing trials and hardships of Takumi’s life, and it is here more than the other stages that we see Takumi’s transition from a boy to a man and get an actual change in character development. What makes Initial D a great racing series isn’t just the racing, it’s the life story that comes with it. And it continues to be one the best series we’ve ever had the pleasure of reviewing on this podcast.
